PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection control apparatus, a connection control method, and a switch circuit control program capable of more quickly setting the connection polarity of the apparatus to a line into a proper state. SOLUTION: A line termination circuit 111 of a line terminator 100 applies an LOF signal 116 validated when frame synchronization is established between itself and an external subscriber line 101 to a control processing section 106 to deliver information as to whether or not the synchronization is established to the processing section 106. When a switch circuit 103 is in a normal connection state or a reverse connection state and a state of unestablished synchronization continues, the control processing section 106 selects another connection state. When the switch circuit 103 is in any connection state and a state of established synchronization continues, the control processing section 106 sets the connection state at that time and starts ordinary communication.
