PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamic acid composition which gives transparent smooth polyimide films preventing coloration and cracking. SOLUTION: This polyamic acid composition comprising a polyamic acid and a tertiary aromatic amine compound, wherein the molar ratio of the tertiary aromatic amine compound to the carboxy groups of the polyamic acid is 0.01 to 0.5.
