PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body pillar structure capable of reinforcing a door hinge mounting part of a pillar without introducing a large-sized reinforcing structure. SOLUTION: The door hinge mounting part 16A of a pillar outer panel 16 is willing to deform to outside a vehicle when a front door 12 is opened. On the other hand, the tensile force generated in a door check 22 at the time of opening the door acts on the door hinge mounting part 16A as a force directed inward about the vehicle width direction through a check reinforcement 20 provided inside the pillar 15, and thereby deformation of the door hinge mounting part 16A is suppressed.
