PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a component separation device which enables a rapid and efficient separation of different components, a liquid component and a particle which is a solid component, and a component separation method using it. SOLUTION: The component separation device comprises a substrate 1 provided with a passage 2 inside, an actuator 9 consisting of a lower electrode 6, a piezoelectric body 7, and an upper electrode 8, and a groove 5 provided on a periphery of the actuator 9 except the passage 2 side. A mixture of the liquid component and the solid component can be taken in or flown into the passage 2, and further, the vibration of the actuator 9 produces a standing wave in the passage 2 to separate the liquid component and the solid component.
