PURPOSE: An emergency call method using a mobile terminal is provided to extend time for generating an emergency signal by extremely reducing power consumption of the mobile terminal by cutting off the power for functions related to an emergency call and to prevent an emergency call operation from being exposed to a criminal, thereby effectively coping with an emergency state. CONSTITUTION: A user operates a mobile terminal to select an emergency call function. The mobile terminal cuts off the power for a display function, transmitting and receiving functions of the mobile terminal except parts necessary for the emergency call function. The mobile terminal periodically or non-periodically transmits an emergency call signal before the emergency call function is released. |
