An electrical connector includes an insulator and a plurality of contacts supported by the insulator. The insulator formed of an insulating plastic material is formed with a plurality of contact insertion apertures for inserting the contacts. Surfaces of the insulator around the contact insertion apertures are metallized, while the contact insertion apertures are independently electrically insulated.
