A stable forming fabric with high fiber support is provided to solve the problems of surface uniformity, the sheet fiber support, and the fabric stability. A cross-sectional view in a Cross-machine-Direction(CD) shows the binder yarn contours of the first system of CD yarns for the exemplary triple-layer fabric having a forming layer of Machine Direction(MD) yarns(104) and a wear-side layer of MD yarns(105). The forming layer MD yarns are interwoven in a sheet support binder(SSB) sequence by a pair of intrinsic CD binder yarns(101, 102) which combine to produce a plain weave pattern. This pattern provides a uniform surface and structural stability for the forming layer. The binder pair is intrinsic to the forming layer, but simply binds with the wear-side layer. The binder yarn pairs alternate weaving the MD yarns with the second system of CD yarns. Another cross-sectional view in the CD shows a triple stacked shute(TSS) structure of the second system of CD yarns for the exemplary triple-layer fabric shown. This second system is comprised of a third CD yarn positioned between the layers, a fourth CD yarn which weaves a plain weave pattern with the MD yarns in the forming layer, and a fifth CD yarn which weaves with the MD yarns in the wear-side layer.
