A light emitting display and a control method thereof are provided to reduce memory of a lookup table and to simplify hardware by intensively compensating luminance of easily degraded region of a pixel unit. A light emitting display includes a pixel unit(100) comprising plural scan lines(S1~Sn), plural data lines(D1~Dm), and plural pixels(50) electrically connected to the scan and data lines; a power supply unit(200) supplying power to the pixel unit through a power line(L1); a current measuring unit(300) dividing the pixel unit into first and second regions and measuring the current flowing in each pixel included in the second region; a data correction unit(400) correcting video data corresponding to the second region according to a current value measured in the current measuring unit; a data driving unit(500) transmitting a data signal corresponding to the corrected video data transmitted from the data correction unit, to the data lines; and a scan driving unit(600) applying a scan signal to the scan lines.
