<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal unit comprising an O-ring for replacement not needing centering work and phase focusing work of a rotating shaft in replacement work of the O-ring. <P>SOLUTION: In this seal unit 1 comprising a housing 2 having a through hole 14 axially penetrated, a rotating shaft 4 penetrating through the through hole 14, the sealing O-ring 6 mounted between an outer peripheral face of the rotating shaft 4 and an inner peripheral face of the through hole 14, and holders 8a, 8b mounted on the housing 2, three replacement O-rings 18a-18c are respectively mounted on the rotating shaft 4 excluding the through hole 14, the holder 8a, 8b are formed to be able to split into a split holer 81a and a split holer 82a along the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft 4, and recessed portions 20 for storing the replacement O-rings 18a-18c are formed on faces opposite to the outer peripheral face of the rotating shaft 4, of the holders 8a, 8b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
