<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recording/reproducing an optical recording medium, capable of easily obtaining edge shift information concerning the correction of the recording mark form of an optical disk to record a corrected recording mark. <P>SOLUTION: Sampling data obtained by sampling a reproduced signal reproduced from a recording medium via a sampling DPLL 23 is decoded by a viterbi decoding and index computer 25 to output binary data. After a path metric is calculated to obtain a first path metric difference, based on temporary binary determination data obtained by comparing the sampling data with a threshold, a positive or negative route path metric is selected as a second path metric difference among first path metric differences. Further, the viterbi decoding and index computer 25 detects the pattern of binary data among the second path metric differences to specify state transition, and selects a path metric difference corresponding to the detected pattern to output it as edge shift information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
