INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which has high gloss and excellent ink absorption, cockling resistance and feathering resistance, and a method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium.

SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium has at least a single ink absorbing layer formed on a support. The support has a layer formed of an organic solvent-based coating solution containing a soluble resin and a particulate in an organic solvent on the surface side of a paper base composed mainly of a cellulose pulp where the ink absorbing layer is formed. Further, the surface of the layer is treated for smooth finish.
