<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium having proper glossiness, excellent ink absorbability even using any one of a dye ink and a pigment ink on printing by an inkjet recording device, and by which high printing density can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording medium comprises laminating at least one layer of an ink receiving layer and a glossiness developing layer as an uppermost layer on the surface of a supporting body layer, wherein the glossiness developing layer is formed by coating a coating liquid for forming the glossiness developing layer including a first ingredient and a second ingredient such that the dry weight ratio becomes 10:90 to 60:40 in a dry coating quantity of 7 to 20 g/m<SP>2</SP>, the first ingredient comprises at least two kinds of colloidal silica different in mean primary particle sizes, the second ingredient comprises alumina and/or hydrated alumina, and the alumina and the hydrated alumina have a mean primary particle size ranging 12 to 18 nm and a BET specific surface area ranging 150 to 190 m<SP>2</SP>/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
