<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and an array substrate which have little residual charge on a channel part in the so-called BM-on-array structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the display device having an array substrate, a driving element T having a channel part which performs ON/OFF of display of each pixel is formed on the array substrate and a black matrix layer 108 is disposed on a formation part of the driving element T, wherein the black matrix layer 108 is constituted so as to have an OD value of 0.0 to 2.99 in at least the formation part of the channel part of the driving element T. According to the constitution, the black matrix layer having lower OD value is used as compared to the conventional black matrix layer having higher OD value, thereby, electric charges on the channel part are expected to be reduced by photoexcitation and, therefore, there is little residual charge on a channel part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
