<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system having excellent cooling efficiency for a server. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling system is provided for the server in which a plurality of nearly rectangular casings 2 each with a built-in computer are housed in a server rack 1, and in which the casings 2 are arrayed in the server rack 1 so as to be isolated from each other. The cooling system is characterized in that cooling air W flowing down the front face of each casing 2 in the server rack 1 is supplied from the cooling unit 3 which can be mounted on an upper edge part of the server rack 1.
