PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a joining process of an electrode and a collector such as continuously sticking a sheet-shaped electrode and the collector by adopting an aluminum foil formed as the collector on the surface of a conductive coated film not involving a solvent, and to prevent electrostatic capacitance from lowering owing to adsorption of a solvent in an adhesive to carbon powder such as activated carbon because the conductive coated film that will become an adhesive hardly contains a solvent. SOLUTION: In the aluminum foil used for the collector of an electric double layer capacitor electrode, the conductive coated film yielded by applying, heating, and drying thermoplastic resin containing conductive powder on the surface of the aluminum foil is formed with a thickness of 0.1μm to 30μm.
