PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device in which power saving and reliability can be enhanced, while achieving reduction in area. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device comprises a power supply switch SW for connecting between an uninterruptible internal power supply Vint0 and an interruptible internal power supply Vint1, and an internal voltage determining circuit VINTDET for determining the voltage of the interruptible internal power supply Vint1. The interruptible internal power supply Vint1 is generated from an external power supply Vext by using a regulator circuit VREG. When power supply of the Vint1 is interrupted, the SW is turned off, and the VREG is turned off and short-circuited to the ground potential GND of VREG output. When the power supply of the Vint1 is reset, the VREG is turned on and released from short circuit, and after the increased voltage of Vint1 has been determined by VINTDET, operation of circuit block BLK1 is started and the SW is turned on.
