PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver in which a user can acquire the receiving state while preventing interference with visual confirmation of video service. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver comprises an antenna 101 for receiving a digital broadcast signal, a high frequency section 102 for detecting electric field strength of the received digital broadcast signal, and a section A111 for presenting a sound depending on the magnitude of electric field strength thus detected.
