PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effectively variation of a low frequency wave of a reproduced signal caused by cross talk between layers in a two layer optical disk. SOLUTION: The apparatus is the optical head apparatus reproducing information recorded in a reproduction layer of the two layer optical disk 101, the apparatus has a photodetector 124 detecting reflected light from the reproduction layer, a computing element 129 performing arithmetic processing for an output signal of the photodetector 124 and generating an output signal corresponding to information recorded in the reproduction layer, a compensation signal generator 131 generating a compensation signal being equivalent to a signal generated by the computing element 129 caused by light in which the light beam is reflected by a non-reproduction layer based on relative eccentricity quantity between two recording layers and a position of the light beam in the direction of a radial od the disk, and a subtractor 133 generating a reproduced signal 134 by subtracting the compensation signal 132 from the output signal 130 of the computing element 129.
