PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve speedy alteration of a magnification while reduction in cost and space. SOLUTION: The optical equipment 1 includes: an equipment main body 2; an objective lens 3; and an objective lens mounting mechanism 4 with which the objective lens 3 is removably attached to the equipment main body 2. The objective lens mounting mechanism 4 has: an objective lens advancing/retracting mechanism 5 with which the leading end 3a of the objective lens 3 is advanced or retracted in the direction of an optical axis C; and an attaching/detaching mechanism 6 with which the objective lens 3 is attached to or detached from the equipment main body 2 while the leading end 3a of the objective lens 3 is retracted in the direction of the optical axis C.
