PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excretion assisting utensil which can surely house feces excreted by a care objective person, who wears a diaper, in the diaper, can prevent the feces from adhering to the skin or leaking from the diaper, and can greatly reduce the burden of a carer. SOLUTION: This excretion assisting utensil 1 can form a space for excretion between the diaper and the body, has elasticity of 100 to 900 g/cm<SP>2</SP>, is fitted between the diaper and the body, and can form the space for excretion. The feces excreted by the care objective person can be stored in the space for excretion. Preferably, by forming the space for excretion in the vicinity of the anus of the wearer, the excretion assisting utensil has a function as a shielding means for preventing the feces from spreading as well, and therefore, the diffusing region of soft feces in the diaper can be suppressed, and at the same time, the feces can be prevented from leaking from the side surfaces of the diaper.
