PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for the stable high-frame-rate 3D image display by matching frame image data to the spatial position and direction data. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is equipped with an ultrasonic probe 20 with a transmitter for transmitting a positional signal, a three-dimensional position sensor 30 with a control unit 33 for calculating the position and direction of the ultrasonic probe at the position timing in a prescribed cycle and outputting the calculated data as positional data, a tomogram data processing part 12 for composing and outputting the frame image data obtained by the ultrasonic probe 20 at the image timing in the prescribed cycle, a 3D image composition processing part 13, and an image display device 14 for displaying the output of the 3D image composition processing part 13. The 3D image composition processing part 13 calculates the matching position data between the previous position timing and the next position timing by the interpolation method from the cycle of the image timing if the image timing and the position timing do not match with each other, and matches the image data to the 3D image display.
