Disclosed is a method for producing an unsaturated ether compound represented by the general formula (2) below. This method is characterized by reacting an acetal represented by the general formula (1) below with an aliphatic or aromatic sulfonic acid in the presence of an organic base having 3-7 carbon atoms in total. (In the formulae, R¹, R² and R³ may be the same as or different from one another and respectively represent an substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, an substituted or unsubstituted aryl or an substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl; or alternatively R¹ and R² may form a cycloalkyl together with an adjacent carbon atom.)
