Biopsy forceps for an endoscope as one of treatment instruments for the endoscope, comprising a flexible insertion part. The base end part of the insertion part is stored in an operation part. A densely wound coil is exposed to the base end part of the insertion part, and the base end part of the coil is enlarged in diameter to form an enlarged-diameter part. A projected part is formed on an operation part body, and the enlarged-diameter part of the coil is locked by the projected part to restrict the movement of the coil so as to prevent the insertion part from coming off.
