A method for offering an LMS(Long Message Service) messaging service in a mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to discriminate plural partial LMS messages and to combine the received partial LMS messages into each LMS message even if the partial LMS messages are indiscreetly received from an SMSC(Short Message Service Center). A mobile communication terminal comprises a memory(100) and a controller(200). The memory(100) stores plural LMS messages, plural identification codes for discriminating partial LMS messages to be combined into each LMS message, and effective period information matched with each identification code. The controller(200) receives the partial LMS messages, and combines the partial LMS messages, grouped by the same identification code, into one LMS message. The identification code includes either CID information or a session ID included in the partial LMS message. |
