A spacer expander (50) installed between a pair of upper and lower side rails (30) and (40) in a combined oil ring (20), wherein a plurality of inner peripheral projected portions (51), (52), and (53) axially projected along the circumferential direction thereof are formed on the inner peripheral side of the spacer expander (50). These inner peripheral projected portions press the inner peripheral surfaces of the side rails. Also, a plurality of slits (54) are formed on the outer peripheral side of the spacer expander, a plurality of connection portions (55) circumferentially separated from each other by the slits (54) are disposed, and axially projected outer peripheral projected portions (56), (57), and (58) are formed at the plurality of connection portions (55).
