The invention relates to a control system (7) for a tractor trailer comprising a traction vehicle and a trailer for accommodating, transporting, and putting down a frame that can be rested on supports and can be loaded with a payload. A track computer (8) is provided which calculates a track that directs the trailer backwards underneath the frame in order to accommodate the frame (4). A particularly reliable system is obtained by providing a first input device (10) via which an actual position and an actual alignment of the frame can be input into the track computer (8) while providing a second input device (11) via which an actual position and an actual alignment of the trailer can be input into the track computer (8). The track computer (8) is configured so as to calculate, from the actual position and the actual alignment of the frame, a setpoint position and a setpoint alignment for the trailer in which the trailer is located underneath the frame for accommodating the same while calculating the track that directs the trailer backwards underneath the frame from the actual values and the setpoint values of the trailer position and alignment.
