<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning member for a printing head section, of which the structure can be simplified, and also, which can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning part 8 for cleaning the printing head section 4c includes an attaching section 8b made of a resin for being attached to a used ink cartridge 2, and a cleaning section 8a, and the ink cartridge 2 is utilized as a guide section for bringing the cleaning part 8 into contact with the printing head section 4c. Then, at least on the end section in the inserting direction of the ink cartridge 2 of the contact surface 8c of the cleaning section 8a, a chamfered section 8d is provided. The ink cartridge 2 includes a recess section 2f which is provided on a connecting section 2c on the distal end section side in the inserting direction of the ink cartridge 2 among a pair of the connecting sections 2c and 2d, to which the cleaning part 8 is attached, and also, which makes the positioning for the attaching position.
