PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for a liquid crystal dripping method which is not shed even when applied onto a water-repellent alignment film and free of breaking of a seal pattern even when the fine seal pattern is drawn during manufacture of a liquid crystal display element by a dripping method, a vertical conduction material, and a liquid crystal element. SOLUTION: The sealant for the liquid crystal dripping method contains hydrophilic setting resin and a water-repellent component, the sealant for the liquid crystal dripping method containing the water-repellent component by 0.1 to 10 wt.pts. for 100 wt.pts. of the setting resin.
