PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double face display type projector which can be installed even on a narrow space and is capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: An optical path branching member 14 allows projection light IL from a projector main body 12 to branch into projection light rays IL1, IL2 of two optical paths which are partially superposed to each other and, therefore, the space required for projecting the projection light rays IL1, IL2 to respective transmission type screens 16A, 16B can be relatively narrowed. Accordingly, the proportion occupied by both transmission type screens 16A, 16B with respect to the whole of the projector 10 can be increased. Therein, it is not necessary to provide the projector main body 12 individually by every transmission type screens 16A, 16B and, therefore, the manufacturing cost of the projector 10 can be suppressed.
