PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool which can maintain good operability and durability by eliminating the insufficient lubrication in a hammering mechanism. SOLUTION: The inside of an inner unit 7 is partitioned into a first seal chamber 47, in which a pressure varies with the reciprocation of a piston 19, and a second seal chamber 48, which is arranged in the neighborhood of the first seal chamber 47 and is communicated with the first seal chamber 47 via a communicating port 46. In addition, both seal chambers 47, 48 are connected via a return passage 58 so as to communicate with each other. Valve bodies are provided on the communicating port 46 and a connecting port 52 so as to close the communicating port 46 or the connecting port 52 and so as to elastically deform in the direction for opening the valves in a normal state. Grease supplied in the tool is forcedly circulated between both seal chambers 47, 48 and the return passage 58 by alternately opening and closing the two valve bodies by the pressure fluctuation in the first seal chamber 47 caused by the reciprocation of the piston 19.
