PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly bore a pipe by effectively buffering cutting reaction force during boring work. SOLUTION: The boring device for a pipe is provided with an in-and-out driving shaft 14 provided to a branch joint 3, which is mounted to an original pipe 1, so as to move freely in and out, a boring motor 17 connected to the base end part of the in-and-out driving shaft 14, and a hole saw 13 mounted to the tip part of the in-and-out driving shaft 14. A supporting member, which guides the boring motor 17 in the direction of approaching or separating from the branch joint 3 and locks the boring motor 17, is provided between the branch joint 3 and the boring motor 17. The supporting member is composed of a guide rod 15 for locking by being connected between a saddle member (the branch joint) 3 and a gear box 16 so as to be freely slidable and in parallel with the in-and-out driving shaft 14, and a supporting bar 46 for locking by being connected between the gear box 16 and the boring motor 17.
