PURPOSE: A method of reducing a high cycle fatigue of a turbocharger is provided to prevent the driving of a cycle same as resonant frequency of a turbine blade by applying perturbation not to keep driving conditions of an engine constant speed or load. CONSTITUTION: A method of reducing high cycle fatigue of a turbocharger fitted to an internal combustion engine in which fuel supply to the engine is controlled by an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,1) in accordance with a fuel map(2) of fuel values(F) required to satisfy different engine operating conditions comprises a step for varying the fuel value associated with a particular engine operating condition to prevent the turbocharger from running at the same constant speed each time the particular engine operating condition arises. The fuel supply is varied by modifying the fuel value determined by the engine map to satisfy the particular engine operating condition by applying a varying perturbation(E) to the fuel value.
