A mobile terminal for limiting using of a mobile terminal by other people and its limiting method are provided to simply authenticate a user only when the user initiates a call without having to input a password or an unlocking voice each time. A microphone(114) receives a voice of a user and outputs it as a voice signal. A voice memory unit(116) stores voice data. A voice processing unit(110) codes the voice signal of the user into voice data and stores the coded voice data as call initiation voice data in the voice memory unit(116). A controller(110) controls the voice processing unit(110) to code the voice signal into the voice data at every call initiation, determines whether the inputted voice data is the same as the call initiation voice data stored in the voice memory unit(116). If the inputted voice data is the same, a controller controls to maintain a call state. If not, the controller controls to cut off a call.
