<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling device especially for working at a high speed which effectively suppresses the deterioration of the accuracy of repeated positioning by the thermal expansion of a supporting body and the wear of a rolling body, can be stably used for a long period of time and can improve the strength of the supporting body to bending moment and suppress the wear of the rolling body while maintaining the high stiffness of the supporting body. <P>SOLUTION: A rolling device wherein at least one of a movable element, a supporting body and a rolling body is formed of one material of a ceramic material, cermet, and cemented carbide with the ratio of bending strength to a density of 1.2×10<SP>7</SP>mm or more, a guide rail 13 as the supporting body or the movable element is formed of the ceramic material with the ratio of the bending strength to the density of 1.2×10<SP>7</SP>mm or more and comprises a flat surface with a surface roughness of 0.5 μmRa or less. As for the guide rail 13, the corner 18a of a cutout part 18 for avoiding interference with a mounting member has a radius of curvature of 0.1 mm or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
