<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an evil effect by the adhesion of magnetic particles while maintaining the uniform gloss of an output image in an image forming apparatus having a transparent toner developing device used for the correction of glossiness desired in recent years. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: a developing means to form a toner image by making an electrifying member opposed to a body to be electrified and comprising the magnetic particles and magnetic particle carrier abut on the body to be electrified, applying bias voltage to the electrifying member so as to electrify the body to be electrified, performing image exposure by an image exposure means so as to form the latent image, and developing the latent image with at least one kind of color developer carried on a developer carrier; and a transfer means to transfer the formed developed image to transfer material. The apparatus has the developing device for developing the image by using transparent toner, and the transparent toner developing device is constituted to be positioned on a more upstream side than a color toner developing device in the rotating direction of a photoreceptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
