摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove sludge deposited on a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: The fuel pressure control device for an engine has hydrogen fuel directly injected in a cylinder (working chamber E1) by a fuel injection valve I1. When slippage of air fuel ratio detected by an air fuel ratio sensor S1 increases (in NG zone of Fig. 7 to Fig. 9), it is determined that an injection hole 4b of the fuel injection valve I1 is clogged by sludge, and fuel pressure supplied to the fuel injection valve I1 is temporarily increased (open action of an open close valve in Fig. 5, Q13 in Fig. 11). If fuel injection quantity temporarily increases (increase of engine torque) by high pressure fuel remaining in a fuel supply system right after the sludge is blown off and removed by increase of fuel pressure, in an embodiment, generated electric power by an alternator 30 or a motor for travel is increased to suppress temporary torque increase (Q12, Q14, Q15 in Fig.11).
