PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a polymer film excellent in optical characteristics by suppressing the occurrence of unevenness irregularity caused by a drying wind. SOLUTION: A dope containing a solvent and a polymer is casted on a casting band 46 to form a cast film 69 and an air blow duct 70 is provided so that its air blow ports 71a are turned toward the running direction of the casting band 46. The air blow ports 71a are demarcated by a large number of rectifying fins 100 and wind protecting plates 101 are attached to both side members 71b of a duct main body 71. Immediately after the cast film 69 is formed, the drying wind is sent out from the air blow ports 71a so as to become parallel to the casting band 46. The drying wind is sent out from the air blow ports 71a while rectified and, since the accompanied wind produced by the drying wind is suppressed to dry the cast film 69, the occurrence of unevenness irregularity such as oblique irregularity or thickness irregularity in the cast film 69 is suppressed to manufacture the polymer film excellent in flatness.
