PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive capacitor microphone by decreasing the number of components and the number of manufacturing steps while eliminating the need for taking account of an adverse effect of metal powder produced by cutting by securing a microphone unit to a unit case by an appropriate pressing force without cutting the unit case. SOLUTION: A capacitor microphone unit component including a vibration cone 42 and a fixed pole 43 opposing the vibration cone is contained in a unit case 30, a tubular shielding metal mesh 50 is inserted into the unit case 30 and locked thereto, and the capacitor microphone unit component is pressed against the unit case 30 by the resiliency of the metal mesh 50. The capacitor microphone is unidirectional, an aperture 34 for rear acoustic terminals is formed in the unit case 30 and applied with the metal mesh 50. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
