PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device which can perform sampling by an optimal frequency according to a communication speed of an input signal for filtering, a communication processing device which carries out noise elimination using it and performs data communication, a communication processing system using it, and a filtering method using them. SOLUTION: A frequency detection part 2 detects a communication speed of a communication signal, a clock generation part 3 generates a sampling clock corresponding to the detected communication speed, a sampling part 4 for a clock signal and a sampling part 5 for a data signal samples an input clock signal and a input data signal using the sampling clock, and carries out filtering. An optimal sampling filter circuit is selected according to the detected communication speed out of a plurality of sampling filter circuits whose frequency characteristics are different.
