PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely clamp a disk with a simple and inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: A disk device is constituted so that a tray 2 for mounting the disk D is supported to be capable of moving forward and backward a, b on a chassis 1 and an optical pickup 6 capable of moving forward and backward a, b and a spindle motor 8 with a turntable 7 are arranged in the main chassis 1, and in the play mode, the disk D is chucked by a disk chucking mechanism 24 and the information recorded in the disk D is read by the optical pickup 6 by rotating the disk D at a high speed, and the tray 2 is made to move forward a based on an eject signal and is made to backward b based on a loading signal, wherein the spindle motor 8 with the turntable 7 is attached to the tray 2, and the turntable 7 is provided with the disk chucking mechanism 24.
