PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high speed disk mounting processing when circle processing is carried out. SOLUTION: Files M and P read during mounting are arranged so that RUB is continuous by odd and even number clips. When one of the four files, e.g., the file M, is updated, the updated file M is recorded in the unrecorded area of a disk according to a circle recording rule, and the other three non-updated files are copied in the unrecorded area of the disk. In this case, the files M and P in the same clip are arranged to be continuous in one RUB, and the combination of odd and even number clips is written in a proximate RUB so as to maintain the continuity of the four files as much as possible. The four files including the file M before updating and located in original positions are erased.
