PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ball for a ball valve, the ball for the ball valve, and the ball valve capable of being inexpensively manufactured, mass-produced, and reduced in its thickness and weight. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the ball 8 for the ball valve composed of a hollow spherical body, and having a through hole 6 as a flow channel and a hole 7 for a stem on its prescribed parts, two half-spherical bodies 1, 18 are formed by plastic working of a metallic plate. Adhesive faces 20 of the half-spherical bodies 18, 18 are joined to form the hollow spherical body. Further after forming the through hole 6 and the hole 7 for stem on the spherical body, the spherical body are shaped into a required spherical body to be used as the ball 8 for the ball valve.
