The unit has a passage canal (14) for admission of an antenna e.g. television antenna, and a mat (10) provided with a passage opening (16). A canal unit (12) has a projection (20) that supports itself at a side of the mat. The canal unit is different from the mat. Another mat is connected to the mat (10) by a bonding layer. The canal unit extends between the mats via the passage opening. The canal unit is held or fixed at the mat (10). The mats are made from a metal e.g. aluminum, and the canal unit is made from plastic. An independent claim is also included for a building roof with number of covering units.
