An array substrate for an LCD, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to allow a defect to be solved even after a crystal panel is completed by forming a repair line of the same material as a pixel electrode on a data line near to an intersection with a gate line. A gate line(102) and a data line(118) intersect each other on an insulating substrate(100) to define a pixel region. A first repair line(106) is placed under the data line, and is independently configured so as not to contact the gate line. A thin film transistor is constructed as an intersection of the gate line and the data line. A transparent pixel electrode(124) contacts the thin film transistor, and is placed in the pixel region. A second repair line(126) is placed on the data line near to the intersection with the gate line. |
