Disclosed is a diaphragm for speakers containing a resin, an aramid fiber, and an organosilicon compound for binding the resin and the aramid fiber. By having such a constitution, the diaphragm can maintain high elastic modulus and high internal loss which are characteristic to the aramid fibers. Consequently, the diaphragm is increased in the degree of freedom in physical value setting while securing moisture resistance reliability and strength. Such a diaphragm is also excellent in appearance.
