Provided is a secondary battery which is prevented in the shrinkage of a separator due to the heat generated during charge/discharge and the shortage due to the contact of first and second electrode plates. The secondary battery comprises a jelly-roll type electrode assembly which comprises first and second electrode plates(210,220) comprising an electrode active material coated part (where the first and second electrode taps are drawn) and an uncoated area, and first and second separators(230) and is provided with a separator deformation prevention part(250a) for preventing the deformation of separators; a case which accommodates the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly which finishes the case. Preferably the separator deformation prevention part is a fixing member for fixing the first and second separators to the first and second electrode plates. |
