A navigation system that can, when there is a plurality of destination points or departure points, search for an optimum route by route search processing of one time. A navigation system (10) has a POI attribute information database (40) where attribute information of places of interest is accumulated; a network data editing means (38); and an imaginary node setting means (39). The navigation system (10) refers to the POI attribute information database (40) based on a departure point and/or destination point and determines whether or not a plurality of POI are present at the departure point and/or the destination point. When a plurality of POI are present, the imaginary node setting means (39) sets an imaginary node that is connected to each of nodes of the plurality of POI by links having equal node cost, and the network editing means (38) adds the imaginary node to network data for search. A route search means (33) performs route search by using the network data (35) for search to which network data the imaginary node has been added.
