An air valve assembly of a gas turbine engine is provided to regulate the volume of the cooling air supplied to the nozzle of the gas turbine engine according to the placement of the plural follower member assemblies with the insertion unit. An air valve assembly(200) of a gas turbine engine comprises a first valve element; a second valve element rotatably installed on the first valve element and a first shaft for the first valve element to control the movement of the air passing through the second valve element; an actuator(220); an interlocking device(222) coupling the actuator at the second valve element to rotate the second valve element between the first and second directions; and plural follower member assemblies extended through a first hole corresponding to the first valve element and a second hole corresponding to the second valve element and fixed to the circumferential direction for one of the first and second valve elements to contain the insertion unit moved to the circumferential direction for the other of the first and second valve elements.
