<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system for improving precision of face candidate region extraction processing. <P>SOLUTION: The image deciding part 5 of an image processing system 100 extracts a skin color region from image information, and decides whether or not the extracted skin color region is a face candidate region by using a neural network learning the face candidate region extraction processing of a person by using each characteristic value of the skin color region as an input signal. Then, the face candidate region is emphasized and displayed on an image to be displayed by a display part 10 so as to be clearly discriminated from the other regions. An operator decides whether or not each face candidate region is the face region, and selects the face region from the face candidate region via an instruction input part 9. Then, the selection result of the selected face region is stored in a teacher data storage part 6 as teacher data.
