<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe a series of images efficiently by reducing the time to display images with less need for observation. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device 1 is equipped with an image processing and controlling part 2a which acquires images from an image storage part 5a and controls various kinds of image processing for the obtained images to make the image storage part 5a store the processed images, a region detecting part 2b to detect characteristic image regions with prescribed characteristics from the images, a display method setting part 2c to calculate an occupancy ratio of the characteristic image region to the entire image region to relate a prescribed image display method to the image depending on the calculated occupancy ratio, and an image display controlling part 6a to control to display a series of images stored in the image storage part 5a in a display part 4 sequentially from the image display method related to each image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
